Larsen Apple Barn has been around for a long time and is a very popular. Larsen Apple Barn is located at 2461 Larsen Drive in Camino, California. Larsen Apple Barn has all kinds of popular apples. If you like apples you are sure to find the kind you like at Larsen Apple Barn. Larsen Apple Barn has lots of varieties that you probably will not find anywhere else like Arkansas Black, Braeburn, or Parkdale Beauty to name just a few of their rare varieties. Do not worry though they have plenty of traditional apples such as Red Delicious and Golden Delicious.
Besides apples Larsen Apple Barn also has other foods such as pears, honey, peaches, grapes, and nectarines. They make lots of their own food too such as sandwiches and deserts. Of course Larsen Apple Barn has lots of apples deserts like the other locations at Apple Hill. One thing that is nice about Larsen Apple Barn is that they have indoor and outdoor dining. Since Apple Hill is popular in the fall and it is cold up in the area the indoor dinning is nice. When it is not cold though the outdoor area is nice. Larsen Apple Barn has a large picnic area with waterfall and pond. The area is very nice for a picnic. In the picnic area is the oldest apple tree in El Dorado County.
On top of the food and picnic area there is also a small museum the Larsen Pioneer Museum. The museum is about the Larsen family and their history but it also covers the history of the area as well. Since you are here anyway it is a nice distraction and worth looking through while you are here.
One great thing about Larsen Apple Barn is the parking is great. The Larsen Apple Barn has paved parking and it has well painted lines. At most places in Apple Hill it is hard to find a parking spot and when you do getting in and out can be hard so the parking at Larsen Apple Barn is a nice change.
Overall the Larsen Apple Barn is a great place to go in Apple Hill. You should give the Larsen Apple Barn a chance.
