Las Cambritas Mexican Restaurant in Cambria, California: Great Food in a Coastal Town

Las Cambritas is a delightful Mexican food restaurant located at 2336 Main Street in Cambria, California. Cambria is a central coast town that is both charming and inviting to tourists looking for a seaside getaway.

In my last 3 trips to the Cambria area I have stopped to eat at Las Cambritas restaurant to enjoy the fresh made Mexican food. Neither I nor my travel partners have ever been disappointed in the food or service at Las Cambritas. The outside of Las Cambritas is colorful but not tacky. The interior of the restaurant is vibrant, comfortable and clean.

The food at Las Cambritas is prepared in an authentic Mexican tradition. They use fresh ingredients and make all their own salsas and sauces. They specialize in enchiladas, and they are all very tasty and never bland. On my last visit just a couple weeks ago, I enjoyed my favorite, a cheese enchilada with red sauce. My friend ordered the beef tamale with rice and beans and exclaimed that her food was "yummy".

My favorite menu item at Las Cambritas is actually an appetizer; fried avocados with a spicy ranch dressing on the side. The fried avocados cost $7.50 and are worth every penny. It may not be healthy to eat avocados fried, but the mouth watering taste will make you a believer. Though I did not have an alcoholic beverage on my last trip, I have thoroughly enjoyed a margarita on the rocks at Las Cambritas on another occasion.

The food at Las Cambritas in Cambria cost between $7-15 a meal, and the portions are generous. They have an outdoor patio in the back, though I enjoy sitting at a table by the front window to people watch. All around Las Cambritas are adorable shops, and the area has an artsy feel about it.

There is no need to dress up to eat at Las Cambritas, as most of their customers are tourists walking in off the street. It's a nice place to stop for a bite to eat and take a break from walking up and down Cambria's Main Street. The whole area is a must see, and you'll want to take a drive down to see the Pacific Ocean while you are there. It's a beautiful view.
