As of October 2011, the West Wind Las Vegas 5 Drive-In Theatre, better known as the Las Vegas Drive-In, is the last surviving drive-in theater operating in the city. It is located in North Las Vegas.
There used to be a handful of this type of theater before. However, with the domination of multiplexes that are mostly situated in malls, hotels, and casinos, drive-in theaters were badly hit and most business establishments already closed down. Some of the most popular ones to the older Vegas folks include the Skyway Drive-in, Desert Drive-In Theater, and Sunset Drive-In.
And so, if traveling to Las Vegas and wanting to have a drive-in movie experience in the Vegas desert, there is this last one still standing in the northern part of the city -- the Las Vegas Drive-In.
