The period between July 22 to 28, 2011 will feature a number of free film screenings hosted by a Las Vegas mall and the libraries under the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District. Meanwhile, a school will host a weekend movie event for a soon-to-release superhero movie. On June 28, Thursday, three separate summer movie screenings will be held in different Las Vegas locations.

The Clark County Library features the G-rated animated film "Gnomeo and Juliet" for its "Movie Series: Saturday Family Flix" program. Century 16 Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino is one of the select theaters to host the "Tekken Blood Vengeance in 3D Premiere Event." The Town Square summer movie series features the swashbuckler flick "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" at the Town Square Park. Starting at sundown, the park showcases the movie in a giant 25 ft. by 25 ft. screen. Families are encouraged to arrive earlier for live events and entertainment for kids. The Laughlin Library "Summer Movie Marathon @ Your Library" program invites kids and teens to come and enjoy a selected children's film from the library collection.
