Las Vegas Halloween Happenings for Kids

Las Vegas Boasts Plenty of Options for Children on Halloween

Todd Jacobs
Las Vegas is one town that takes Halloween seriously. Every vacant lot has a haunted house and there are several sponsored events around town. The Circus Circus Fright Dome and the temporary haunted houses created by the company, The Freakling Brothers are two of the most popular kids attractions for Halloween.

Circus Circus Fright Dome is a Month Long Halloween Event for Las Vegas Kids

Circus Circus holds one of the largest Halloween events in Las Vegas for the kids. The Circus Circus Adventure Dome is transformed into the Fright Dome every October and is one the most well attended Halloween events for kids every October.

Beginning October 1st and running through Halloween, the Fright Dome's goal is to scare and entertain Las Vegas kids. Tickets go on sale September 7th and are $34.99 a person. For an upgrade of $15 there is a VIP pass available to avoid the long lines.

Fright Dome is open on weekends and also the last three Thursdays of October leading up to Halloween. Fright Dome is ranked as one of the five scariest Halloween events in the country and has become a fixture of the
Las Vegas Halloween landscape for decades.

Bonnie Springs Hosts Bonnie Screams Events in October for Halloween Lovers

Bonnie Springs is an old fashioned ghost town located just West of Las Vegas in the Red Rock Mountains. In October the ghost town is converted to a haunted excursion that is one of the best kept secrets in the Las Vegas Valley.

Known as Bonnie Screams on the weekends beginning October 10th, the company Hysteria City is in charge of the facility for the Halloween season. Bonnie Screams features haunted trails and ghouls around every corner of the old ghost town and the price is reasonable at $20 per person. For $30 a person total there is an RIP upgrade which includes priority line passes.

Freakling Brothers Haunted Houses Are a Las Vegas Halloween Tradition Since 1992

The Freakling Brothers haunted houses have been in existence since 1992 and are the most creative Halloween experiences in Las Vegas. They don't rely on live ghouls and goblins. The Freakling Brothers are known for scaring their patrons in a more subtle fashion.

The Freakling Brothers have three haunted houses that are usually located around the Las Vegas Valley. This Halloween season, the Freakling Brothers will place all three in one location. Smoke Ranch and Rainbow will be the location for all three haunted houses this Halloween season.

Prices are $11 for one person, $18 for two and $25 for three visitors to one of the haunted houses. There is also a Freak Pass for $25 to all three haunted houses. Non refundable if the patron does not survive.

Halloween At Opportunity Village is a Great Alternative to Trick or Treating for Kids on Halloween

Safe Street Halloween celebrations are an annual tradition in Las Vegas also. There are many Halloween Safe Street locations. All of the local malls participate in trick or treating on Halloween Sunday as well as some local churches such as International Church of Love on Westcliff just West of Buffalo Drive.

One of the originals is the Halloween event held by Opportunity Village on Oakey Blvd. The event sends the participants on a trick or treat path past 100's of local business owners handing out candy to the children. The event is low key and perfect for toddlers and the younger children.

Opportunity Village is a good choice. The kids sure love Circus Circus...but it gives me a headache...lol.
