Las Vegas Nightlife: The Whiskey Bar

Venture Off the Strip and Experience the Most Innovative Nightclub in Town!

If you're looking for a cool place to party on a hot desert night, The Whiskey Bar at the Green Valley Ranch is the place to be. The Whiskey recently reopened after a major renovation project and the hotspot is hipper than ever. The Whiskey is often overlooked by Vegas vacationers because of its location off the Strip, but the seven-mile trip east of Las Vegas Blvd. is well worth it for a couple of cocktails at the most innovative nightclub in town.

The Whiskey attracts a wide range of guests and offers a variety of options. Those out to dance the night away will be drawn to the dance floor by the thumping beats emanating from a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system. The lounge area offers luxurious couches and pillows, an intimate setting for couples, while the bar area allows for socializing amidst post-modern décor and even a complimentary pool table.

By far, The Whiskey's most enticing feature is a 5,000 square foot outdoor terrace featuring a surreal atmosphere where guests can lounge under the stars on sofas and canopied mattresses and bask in a breathtaking view of the Las Vegas Strip and the surrounding Green Valley Ranch resort.

Don't be fooled by the name - The Whiskey doesn't appear to offer any greater a selection of its namesake than any other upscale watering hole in town - the bar caters to lovers of all libations. However, I figure if you find yourself at a bar called The Whiskey, you may as well indulge in some. The perfect choice for an evening at The Whiskey? Definitely a Crown & Coke. More sophisticated than the usual bottle of beer, but less uppity than a glass of wine, a Crown & Coke will have you fitting in with Las Vegas' finest at The Whiskey.

The Whiskey is located in Station Casinos' Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa located in Henderson, NV (www.greenvalleyranchresort.com).

The Whiskey is part of the Midnight Oil Company's family of venues known for their modern, luxurious interiors and provocative atmospheres (www.midnightoilbars.com).
