Las Vegas on a Tight Budget

This Guide Shows You How to Cut Your Living Expenses in Half

Las Vegas is an expensive city even though you see advertisements all over the web and whatnot advertising cheap deals and special offers, in the end the price does add up, and you are left wondering where all your money has gone.

Here are some ways to spend a lot less money on living expenses so that you will have more for gambling and having fun. One of the cheapest hotels around is the El Cortez Hotel located in Downtown, this humble but not too bad Hotel is comfortable and usually costs about 30 bucks a night. There are no elevators in the El Cortez so you have to walk up a bunch of stair to get to your room if it is high up, which tends to be a big drag sometimes, but then again it's your choice to cut money so deal with the consequences. They also have a really cheap steakhouse with quality food that will cut your dining bill in half.

Another Cheap hotel that is actually located on the Strip is the Stratosphere, it is flashy and not a bad 3 star destination. The rooms are some of the cheapest on the strip, and they aren't bad at all. There is also some great gaming action going on in their casino so you won't be bored, or if you have kids you can take them to the top of the spiral where there are roller coaster rides which are pretty damn cool.

A trick I learned is to go to the Midnight Cafés at the casinos which usually run till about 5 A.M. they have some of the cheapest food around and it tastes great.

If it's entertainment that you are looking for than a lot of the shows and theaters have cheaper prices in the morning, I've made good use of those just going first thing every morning and catching the cheapest shows.

Another thing someone once told me about which has worked great for me is whatever casino you like gaming at you should always try to pick up a club card which most of them offer, there are a multitude of special deals you can get with these cards which include, cheap food, cheap accommodation and rewards for the amount of money you spend gambling.

One other great place to visit is Ellis Island, a casino with some of the best deals I've ever seen, there are huge meals for ridiculously cheap prices, there are buy one get one free deals by the bucket load and other great menus for practically nothing.

If you've never heard of any of these places than check them out next time you are in Vegas, chances are they are going to save you a lot of time and a lot of money. It is not easy with the current economic state for a lot of Americans, that is why it is nice when you can find little ways to save some money.
