Many rangefinders only give you the straight line distance to the target. The Leupold RX-II is equipped with a ballistic aiming system that helps you place shots accurately. The unit offers three ballistic settings for bow hunters. For hunters using a rifle, the Leupold RX-II offers a total of seven ballistic settings.
The Leupold RX-II has a maximum range of 750 yards and is accurate within 1 yard. This maximum range can only be achieve when your target is highly reflective. The unit can measure trees that are up to 570 yards away, and can measure deer that are 300 yards away. The Leupold RX-II laser rangefinder can present data in either yards, feet, or meters.
You also won't have to worry about getting inaccurate measurements when using the Leupold RX-II in inclement weather. The unit features a Rain mode designed especially for taking accurate measurements in the rain. In addition to the rain mode, the Leupold RX-II offers five other modes.
The scan mode delivers constant measurements to moving and stationary targets as you scan across them. The Long range mode is designed to provide range measurements to targets farther than 150 yards. In the 1st target mode, the Leupold RX-II measures the distance to the closest object whenever there are multiple targets in the field of view. Last target mode is the opposite, as the unit will measure the distance to the object farthest away whenever multiple objects are present.
The Leupold RX-II also offers a customizable reticle system. The different reticles include Duplex, Bracket Square Duplex, Plus Point, and German #4. Each reticle is suitable for targeting objects of different sizes.
If you want to keep updated on the outside temperature, then you will appreciate the integrated thermometer. The thermometer can present temperature readings in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The Leupold RX-II is also packaged with the battery, carrying case, and lanyard.
If you're looking for a quality rangefinder to take on your hunting expeditions, then you should consider buying the Leupold RX-II. The unit has a maximum range of 750 yards and is accurate within 1 yard. You can also use the Leupold RX-II to take accurate measurements in the rain.
