Laser Skin Rejuvenation - Wrinkles Be Gone!

Many people ultimately suffer from wrinkles. It's a fact of life that if you have skin and a body that is around for a long enough time and you are subjected to the elements than you are very likely to suffer from skin damage. This damage is up to and including wrinkles. And while plastic surgery used to be the cosmetic equivalent of a fountain of youth, it was called plastic surgery for a reason. Not only did the results often look plastic but the surgery portion of it was dangerous and not something that people took lightly.

Now there is hope. Laser skin rejuvenation uses the innovative technology of lasers to attack the source and bring light back to a seemingly past the brink face. In conversations with Dr. Raffi Dishakjian, head doctor from Nu Vela Esthetica, I was quite intrigued to find out that not only does laser technology seem to be the wave of the future; it is also very much the discussion at present. He told me all about the laser skin rejuvenation approach to wrinkle treatment they're using right now.

When getting into it he said that they were now using this technology known as "THERMASCAN."

"THERMASCAN," said the doctor, "is an innovative technology which sets new standards for the treatment of wrinkles and several other skin conditions. Using an infrared laser to rejuvenate your skin from the inside out," is this technology's trick. He said that it has been very well received. "The laser energy delivered by the THERMASCAN penetrates into the upper layers of your skin."

From there this energy is absorbed by the area of skin that you are treating. This absorption stimulates what is known as "fibroblast cells in your skin." These cells commence production of collagen.

"Collagen and elastin fibers continue to multiply after your treatment and you will see improving results over the months ahead."

This is a treatment which not only works but, because it's non invasive it's much safer than any other previous treatments.

"THERMASCAN therapy is effective on all skin types and tones. This treatment helps restore your skin to its natural beauty making it softer, smoother, and more vibrant."

As a safe and effective alternative to the plastic surgery of the 1970's and 1980's it would seem like the laser technologies that are currently offered are the wave of the future. One of the things we will need to do in the coming years is look out for residual effects as the science tries to make the procedures both more safe and effective for everyone involved.
