Last Couple Out: a Valentine Treat Game

Lets
Last couple out, is an exciting game to play for singles who want to have fun on valentines day. This is good to play in a wide area because it involves a lot of running and chasing. Be sure your participants are physically fit to run.

Instructions:

Gather at least 4 or 5 couples depending upon how many participants you have. Let them form a line in pairs. You need an extra male who will serve as "it" or the one who will chase the male partner. As soon as the pairs are already in line, let the "it" sit or squat in front of the line of couples facing front. Meaning, his back is facing the line of couples. He must sit at least 2 meters away from the line. The leader of the game will start by saying,... LAST COUPLE..... OUT!!!! as soon as the word OUT is given, the last couple on the line will run each way on the left or right. side The "IT" will chase the man only. The woman will rescue her partner by running toward him and as soon as they reach their hands together, the man is saved from the "it" The couple will be out of the line, they succeeded to remain partner. . Since the "it" is not successful in separating the couple, he will remain as "it" or chaser. The game continues until all couples will be out. . If the chaser or the "it" will be able to tag the man before his partner rescue him. the "it" or the chaser will become the woman's partner. The men will exchange places. The one who was tagged by the "it" will become the "it" or chaser. At this point the couple will go back to the line. It means, the lady has a new partner now. The game continues. As the last couple will be out , and the lady will be able to rescue her partner, they win the game and have a date for a treat or whatever is the leader's treat for the winners, it depends.

The trick of this game to make it more exciting is to cover the eyes of the "it" until the word OUT!! is given so that he will not be able to determine which way the man runs. Another is. you could let the couple exchange places on the line. For example, the "it" knows that the women's side is at the left, of course he will run to the men side at the right because he will be chasing the man not the woman.. but then you can let the couple exchange places before the command OUT is given but don't let the "it : know. You must give limit to the area where they will run. The couple will not run together. They must start on a separate way and meet on the other side. Most often. the lady will run around from her side of the line to the men's side and meet her partner on the other side.

You can revise this game as non active. You can name this... Who is my partner? You can play it indoor. No need of wider area and no running. You will need music and operator. Let the couples stand in a line or column facing in opposite direction. You can have the same number of pairs, but there must be an extra for men. so, if you have 4 couples, there will be 5 men, one extra no partner. As the music starts to play, the men will walk around the line of women. When the music stops. they must hold a partner. Only the men will pick a partner. The women will just wait of who will pick her. The one who can not pick a partner will be out of the game and he has no date. You can make the game more exciting by making a trick. Instruct the operator of the music to have an abrupt stop and then go of the music.. or abrupt low and high volume. This will make the male participants grab a partner only to find out the music did not finally stop. They will continue to go around while the music play. They will hold their partners only when the music finally stops.
