Last Minute Christmas Shopping Guide for Your Wife

I am a woman who has come to terms with the fact that men procrastinate, and it does me good to write these tips for last minute shopping for your wife. However I am also a wife, and I think I can speak for all wives everywhere when I say that if you wish to see 2009, you better put some thought into what you get your wife this Christmas.

I might also suggest, if you are a man who does wait to the last minute to buy a Christmas present for your wife that you might even want to choose more than one item or suggestion from this list, because this is your chance to make up for all the upset you might have caused this year simply by being you. There's nothing wrong with being a man, who is forgetful (or despises shopping) but following a woman's advice just might save your life.

Now, without further explanation I will give you ten christmas gifts for your wife, specifically for all of you last minute shoppers.

A Puppy

This can classify as a "main" Christmas gift, if appropiate.

Obviously, this is not the perfect gift for everyone. However, it could be the perfect gift for your wife if she would love a puppy. An example of a wife who would not appreciate a puppy would be somebody who already has enough on her plate, either with a high demand job, with chasing children around the house, or both. If a woman loves dogs, and has enough spare time to care for a dog, and you do not have any doubt that she would appreciate owning and caring for a dog, then a puppy would be a wonderful (and welcome) surprise.

If you (or your wife) have children, a digital camera is a perfect gift. You know your own budget better than I, but if you are spending less than $150 on a digital camera then you should consider this a "filler" gift. I am not saying 'quantity over quality' in any way, but I am saying that you will have a hard time finding a quality digital camera for under $150, including any last minute Christmas sales. This can only be classified as a "filler" gift, or stocking stuffer.

What woman wouldn't love a day of relaxation and pampering? I am the farthest thing from a girly girl myself, and I can probably gut a fish quicker than you can catch one but even I would appreciate a certificate to a one day vacation in my stocking this year. (It's a shame my own husband doesn't read.) Also, giving your wife a day spa certificate will also be a gift to yourself, as she will return a relaxed, happier woman.

It's a long shot putting this in here, but I must explain to you that all a woman really wants in a Christmas gift from her husband is that he put some thought into it. Honestly! In fact, just about everything on this list will fit into a basket (even a puppy, though I don't recommend putting a puppy in with other gifts) and you will still have room for other "fillers" such as candles, bath and body gifts, etc.

This is a stocking stuffer, and it is as valuable as its contents.

Because this is free, there is no reason not to stick one in your wife's stocking this Christmas! As mentioned in the last suggestion, it is 100% vital you put some thought into it!
