Last Minute Costumes Ideas

It's almost that time again, there is only two weeks left to hunt down those costumes or make them yourselves. Sometimes either can be a stressful chore especially where your children are concerned.

Here are some last minute costumes for all age types:

Babies:
When you are thinking of ideas for babies, think comfortable! Depending on your babies age they will not be moving much so comfort is certainly key.

Children (6 years-10 years)

Children this age are beginning to move from the "baby" costumes and are beginning to really get into the Halloween spirit, they want options. Without these options they are made to feel like you are dressing them and that ruins Halloween for kids this age. Kids should enjoy Halloween it is the one day out of the year where you get to be someone else entirely different. If they want to change gender for one day, why not let them? Let them use their imagination to form a whole new costume, they will love you more for it.

Tween (11years-13 years)

A lot of parents do not understand this all too very significant milestone in their almost teen's life. This same step applies to costume ideas, tweens want scary and sexy and they will strive to get both. A line has to be drawn somewhere in between and I think these costumes will help.

You think a pretty maid costume, ok nice little turtle neck, long, long leggings and we're good to go. No, that's not going to happen. If scary and sexy was cool in the tweens stage it's even cooler in the teen's stage. Bite your tongue and let your teen explore. Their costumes will be revealing, scary and strangely suggestively close to your own costumes when you were a teen.
