Last Minute Gift Wraps - Bags Well Done

You Can Still Win the Prize

If your budget is shot and you're out of time, heed these instructions.

Count the number of gifts you need to wrap. [Or just buy a couple extra than you'll think you'll need.]

1. Go to your dollar store or whatever is similar in your area.

2. Probably Christmas bags are on sale. Also note plain colorful bags.

3. Quickly process the size and number of your gifts.

4. Buy bags a little bigger than you think you may need.

5. Buy lots of white tissue and a little holiday or colored tissue.

6. Buy curlie ribbon or raffia - or your choice of ribbon.

7. Buy some tie-ons. Suggestions include toy cars, bubbles, crayons, lip smackers, candy, gum etc.

9. Buy tags - or use paper.

Obey the speed limit on the way home so you don't get stopped - more time and more money!

A. Open all your bags on the floor or table.

B. Put some crinkled white tissue in the bottom of each.

C. Cut tag [if you wish] from gift and stick inside bag.

D. Mix white tissue and a little of matching color - then fold in half and stuff bottom part in bag - over gift. You should have fluffy tissue sticking out of the bag.

E. Tie your add-on [clever attention getting] tie-on gift with ribbon to close the handles.

F. Write name on tag and tape or tie to handle.

If you have a lot of similar gifts, just complete each step for all gifts and then go to the next step. [i.e. stuff bottom of all bags - add all gifts, stick tissue in tops of all bags etc.

Presto! You are finished and things are looking great!

  • Yes you can!
  • Dollar store, bags, tags and tissue - 1, 2, 3.
  • A clever tie-on can make your last minute wrap extra special.
It's more fun to get a wrapped gift than one in a plastic sack. Here's how to get those last minute gifts wrapped easily and they can be impressive, too.
