Last Minute Mother's Day Gifts

Mother's Day Gift Ideas for the Last Minute Shopper

Joe Zemla
Mother's Day is Sunday, May 8th. Raise your hand if you have a gift for mom. Me neither. Lucky for us, we live in the Internet age where there are plenty of options out there for the last minute shopper...here are a few ideas to consider. And please , buy your mom a nice card. I've been told giving birth hurts. A lot.

A Car Wash

Everyone loves having their car washed, and mom is no exception. Do it by hand or take it in for a professional job. (Just don't bring it back with the gas light on, that's tacky.)

An Ebay Gift Card

Did you know ebay offers gift cards? Print them right off your computer in any denomination. I challenge anyone to not find something cool on ebay.

A Magazine Subscription

In a few clicks of the mouse, you can order your mom a subscription to her favorite magazine (hint: it's not Off Road. Do some investigating). Go buy the latest issue at the store to complete the gift.

Show Tickets

Ticketmaster.com has thousands of tickets for all sorts of events, and you can make your purchase instantaneously. Think Broadway musical, or Michael Buble.

Shop Amazon.com

Amazon.com offers pretty much anything and everything imaginable. Ahh, but this list is for last minute ideas you say? Yes! Here's how you do it: sign up for a free trial of an amazon prime account. 2 day shipping is free, and 1 day shipping $3.99. Just don't forget to cancel after May 8th.

Make a Gift basket

Go to the store and make up a gift basket for mom packed with her all of her favorite things (wine, candy, fruit, grain alcohol...I dunno, it's your mom.)

iTunes Card

Give mom an iTunes card and let her enjoy picking out all her favorite music and movies. (Seriously, I'm not exactly sure who this Michael Buble is, but moms seem to love him)

Frame a photo

Go to any Walgreens, Target, or CVS and print out a nice photo of your family, you as a baby (not the bath tub picture), or anything else that your mom would find special. Buy a frame for it, and presto, you're golden for another year.
