You don't have to load up the house with candies to give to the little ones. One thing they love even more - is none other than money. Not lots of it. They love nickels, dimes and quarters in the plural. If you find that you weren't able to get them some treats, pull out your change purse and put some of your coins to work. They will love it, because they love to accumulate coins. Just watch their eyes light up if you drop 4 quarters into their bags when they arrive at your door. To some children it is better than 15 Snickers bars and it is also a lot better for their teeth.
Another great thing to give them are small boxes of crayons or chalk. Kids love to have lots of them to draw with and if you have some that you have accumulated then you might want to give them to them for Halloween. Potato chip bags are also a favorite for many youngsters, so that is another possibly if you forget to get candy or don't want to give it out. If you want to give more, MacDonald's has gift certificates that you can give to them also.
With all these different ideas, don't worry if you didn't stock up on all kinds of candies. There are plenty of other things that you do. Here are some other tips for you. It is known that if you leave your lights out, especially on the outside of your home, then the Trick or Treat beings will pass by your home without stopping. Here is another possibility for you if you are not prepared for the holiday. You will want to go to someone's home you know that is and help them to give out their Halloween stash goodies. For those out there in the population that want to avoid the giving of treats together, you might want to go out and enjoy some of the fun in the area during this time of the year. There will be plenty of things to do. That way you can be sure that no one will stop at your door because you will not be there.
In any event, since it is coming up soon, this might urge you to get you to the store on time to stock up on goodies for those friendly faces in costume that will visit you on that big night of the year. However you plan to handle the Halloween holiday, make sure that it is a good one. It is a fun time of the year and you can really make some youngsters happy when you give them something when then visit your home. Happy Halloween.
