Last Night's Visit

Liana you've grown so much already, sometimes I just can't believe my eyes.
It's not like I'm new at this, raised your momma, your aunt and your uncle, so why am I so surprised at how time flies?

When you came to visit last night you were so rambunctious, running around like a crazy girl!
You could see it in your eyes, in your happy little life nothing matters, you just twirl!

After Mommy and Daddy left you calmed down quite a bit,
Now for the real fun, play and talk and sing while you sit.

I see your momma in you at every turn you make,
Its like seeing her as a baby again every step you take.

Your personality, just like hers shines through so bright,
Enough to light up any dark and stormy night!

Time to settle down now, play time is over, by looking at you this I know.
We settled on the couch together you in my arms the lights turned down low.

I held you like a baby and listened to you coo, oh what it must be to live in baby land!
I lightly tickled your face, your arms and came to your little hand.

You looked at me, closed your eyes and smiled and curled your little fingers around mine while you fell asleep.
At that moment I was so filled with love I almost thought I would weep.

Growing so fast, just a month ago you turned one,
These moments I will treasure forever, like your Momma, your love of life, your preciousness, your life, is brighter than the sun.
