Last-Minute Christmas Gifts for Sports Enthusiasts

Unusual or Unique Ideas Featuring Favorite Sports Teams

Robin Vinci
Do you have sports fans in the family and want to buy them something unique this Christmas? I've got a few recommendations that fit into both the holiday and the sports categories.

My first idea is to buy something fun. So I am recommending Santa Claus hats with their favorite teams on them. Whether it is the New York Yankees or Baltimore Ravens, there are Santa hats made for them. I recommend first looking on eBay as they seem to be cheapest there.

My second idea is team stockings. Again, you can find almost any team. Then just fill them up with candy and other goodies. I have given several out to New England Patriots fans in past years and they were a huge success. Most stores like Target and Wal-Mart carry them. If not, then once again check out eBay.

The next idea is team ornaments. A lot of ornaments even feature specific players. NASCAR ornaments are very popular too. Some are expensive like those from Hallmark, but cheaper ones are usually available in smaller stores like CVS or Rite-aid.

If you are looking for expensive sport gifts, try watches. I have seen some that even play the national anthem at game time of the team. These can range from $99 and up. I have only seen them online, but they were very popular.

If you go to a specific sports store like Dick's, you may also be surprised by unique items like balls with team names for car antenna's, license plates with great sayings and half-balls that look like they broke glass to go on a windshield. Many of these can also fit into a stocking.

You may also find footballs with team names, mugs and even sport coats for animals featuring teams like the Minnesota Vikings. Spike would look cute in one of those.

If worse comes to worse, t-shirts, jerseys and hats are always a good standby. Everyone who loves their team cannot get enough clothing to show them off.

These are my top ideas for last minute gift ideas for the sports fan on your list.

Hope these ideas help and Have a Merry Christmas!
