Latest Facebook Cartoon Craze: Stop Child Abuse

I usually don't participate in any Facebook craze, but as I took a second look, I remembered a video I watched on Youtube about child abuse and those victims who didn't make it. For instance I saw this HEARTBREAKING video about a baby who was raped, beaten and tossed around by her mother, father and uncle over a period of a few months. She was literally tormented all of her short life and she died before she turned 6 months old, as a result of her torment. Baby Briana Lopez had been bitten, had bleeding on the brain and fractured bones, all both old and new.
By putting our favorite cartoon character up to embrace the innocence of children, perhaps it will raise awareness for child abuse and soften the hearts of everyone.
The innocence of a child is stripped from them in so many ways.. from physical, sexual and emotional abuse to abandonment and neglect. Look into the face of a child and remember that you too were once just like that. Think back at the time when you had not a care in the world, but to play and be happy watching your favorite cartoon. When you do this consider the child who is scared, starving, beaten and abused. Some children don't get to watch cartoons or even have a simple meal a day. Some are robbed of their innocence right in the place they must call home.
To ignore it is to accept it. They could be your neighbor, your niece, your child. Please join in Facebook efforts to raise child abuse awareness. Also please check out some of the sites posted below.
Perhaps a Care Bear Stare or A Thundercats - Ho will help us remember just how precious and innocent a child is and the NEED to be protected by us all.

I heard that it was just a bunch of pedophiles trying to get little kids to accept their friends request faster. I had my profile picture changed, but I changed it back when I heard this. Is it true or not? Now I'm confused.
