Mitt Romney, fresh off his "silver medal" performance on Thursday night got some encouraging news today in the form of a Suffolk University political poll that shows him pulling away from his main challenger in the state, John McCain.
The poll shows that Romney has gained 4 percentage points to take him out of a virtual tie with McCain and up to 29%. McCain is now polling second with 25%. Huckabee and Guiliani round out the top candidates with 13 and 9 percent respectively.
Romney is looking for a big win to revitalize his campaign in New Hampshire because, as the former governor of Massachusetts, he has some of the best name recognition in the state.
On the democratic side, Hillary Clinton looks to be pulling away from Barak Obama in the polls for Tuesdays primary. Clinton has a big 12 point lead over Barak Obama with 37 percent of the vote, with Obama pulling in just 25%. Edwards is in a distant third with 15%.
The poll, conducted by WHDH channel 7 (Boston) and Suffolk University also shows that about 12% of the voters in the state are undecided, so this could still be anyone's race.
Latest poll from Suffolk University and WHDH was used in this article.

Post a CommentWell, at least you hedged your bets at the end there and said, "This could still be anyone's race"...as, indeed, it was. And I think the candidate prefers that his first name be spelled "Barack." That said, I don't trust the polls, unless I am on the ground where the voting is going on.
Hillary Clinton is the only canidate that can actualy make the changes needed to resurect the US from the death the Bushes have brought upon us. For heaven's sake the women was already in the White House, knows just who to speak to and how to get there. She knows the games, and how to play them to be effective. Obama is just a new kid on the big time block. His ears are still wet when it comes to the whole white house scene and frankly I don't think our country can afford to loose the time it will take for Obama to make newcomer mistakes. We can't afford to keep taking it on the chin while he finds his way around to where the country needs to be. Bush has made sure of that. Hillary on the other hand is an old pro and ready to go and she can make the changes we need to survive. HILLARY CLINTON-ALL THE WAY........................ No doubt about it.....
Barak Obama is the true and new leader this country needs to move forward with the hope to reclaim the America that we all loved and lost!
BARAK OBAMA - ALL THE WAY...............
