Royal Oak residents may remember that Google is considering several cities throughout the United States for participation in its ultra high-speed broadband network program. Google has delayed a decision until early 2011. In the meantime, Google is still interested in hearing from Royal Oak residents about this program.
Residents can re-familiarize themselves with the program by going to http://www.ci.royal-oak.mi.us/portal/content/google-fiber-royal-oak and reading the information posted there. They then have the opportunity to make their opinions known by linking to several other sites, including the Facebook page and the direct site to Google itself. The more interest Royal Oak residents show, the better chances will be that the city will be chosen.
