Latest Sandra Bullock Bull: Who's Setting the Record Straight

Valerie Ferrari
During the time it takes you to click on a Sandra Bullock headline and read the story, another headline will appear refuting the story that you just read. Okay, sometimes it may take a little longer, but you get the idea - don't believe everything you read, no matter how true it may sound. That would seem to be the case with tabloid stories about how Sandra spent Easter with her sister in Vermont. Sounds perfectly plausible and why would anyone make up something like that? But, according to The Insider, Sandra Bullock's sister Gesine Bullock-Prado wrote on her blog, "Confections of a (Closet) Master Baker," that she was in Chicago with her husband on Easter weekend.

The report says Gesine Bullock-Prado posted a picture of her plane ticket to Chicago and wrote: "... to set the record completely straight, if the post on Easter about gorging my way through Chicago doesn't convince you to my whereabouts and only my whereabouts, then let my reservations on the lovely United Airlines be a true and honest testament to what I ate for Easter dinner and with whom, and it wasn't with my lovely family at some nameless Vermont inn I've never set eyes upon. That night I ate alone and I ate airline food. And who the hell would lie about that?"

She did not want to name the inn because: "... they've gotten enough free publicity from lying up to now ...." But is that fair? How does she know the inn had anything to do with the bogus report? It was reported on Perez Hilton's blog as the Fair Haven Inn in Fair Haven, Vt. I don't know if Perez was the first to report on it, but it's a pretty nice place, reasonable prices, Mediterranean specials on Sundays. It's a reputable establishment that has been in business for over 25 years.

In the meantime, reports have also surfaced that Sandra Bullock will be discussing her marital situation -- for the first time -- on her good buddy, George Lopez' talk show. According to Gossip Cop, the Chicago Sun-Times reported:

"Despite big pitches, allegedly from producers for Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Walters and Larry King, Sandra Bullock supposedly is currently planning on first discussing her marriage challenges - thanks to cheatin' hubby Jesse James - on good buddy George Lopez's talk show."

Gossip Cop checked it out with a rep for Sandra Bullock and was told that no plans had been discussed and Ms. Bullock was not schedule to appear on Lopez Tonight.

But after the Lindsay Lohan non-appearance, I wouldn't believe that anybody was going to appear on George Lopez's show even if he tweeted it himself because that is exactly what happened when Ms. Lohan got mad at some jokes about her use of baby powder in her shoes. George Lopez tweeted that she would appear on his show: ""Here's the latest @lindsaylohan is scheduled to appear on Lopez Tonight next tuesday .. Chill !" -- and she never did. Ex-Governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich showed up instead.

Well now they say she's not appearing on George Lopez show. So that means she probably is?

Is it me, or are these people starved for attention?

Interesting report. I recently saw an interview with George Lopez and he unequivocally denied that he had plans to have Sandra on the show to talk about this.

Good reporting, Val. There's so much scuttlebutt surrounding Sandra these days, that you have to take every report with a grain of salt.

Maybe Gesine Bullock-Prado can appear on Lopez instead. She could talk about what an airline food Easter dinner is like.

    Poor Sandra.
