If you are in the Wells, Maine area, you will not find a more beautiful nature spot than The Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farms located at 342 Laudholm Farm Road. The trails here cover a variety of habitats, and with informational posts along the way it makes a great learning environment for children. Click here to learn about the different trails available, as well as download a map. You can trail through the woods, the marshes and there is even a trail that will lead you directly to Laudholm beach. Click here to see the calendar of events. Laudholm Farms opens everyday at 7 am and closes at sunset. Admission fees are free for under 6 years old, $1 for ages 6 to 16, & $3 over the age of 16. The fee includes parking and is charged from Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day. The visitor center & exhibit hours are Monday-Friday, 10 am to 4 pm. There is also a library that contains more than 3,500 volumes on coastal environments, estuarine issues, and watershed conservation.
