there's a four year old girl
missing her mother
somewhere in San Francisco
...or Sacramento
she doesn't understand
politics and nuclear war
she doesn't know about border laws
she doesn't know there are girls her age
that are trafficked before an adolescent stage
merely infants just like her
little girls that her mother has always tried to save
journalists with the attributes of humanity
rarely get accolades and wealth
their inner spirits are fulfilled by their priceless attempts
to educate, save and protect.
they too at times deserve to be saved
with all they do give them that respect
