Is Lauren Conrad Debuting a New Show?
Lauren Conrad became known in 2004 when she was a part of the MTV reality show, Laguna Beach. The show was popular, and Lauren Conrad was given a reality show spin-off, The Hills. Lauren Conrad starred on the show, a quasi-reality show, for 5 seasons. Leaving the show after season 5, Lauren Conrad went on with the intention of having a career in the fashion industry. The first fashion line Lauren Conrad designed did not last, but she debuted a new label that is available in Kohl's department stores.
Besides her roles in popular quasi-reality shows and her fashion line, Lauren Conrad is also a published author. Lauren Conrad has released two books so far, L.A. Candy and Sweet Little Lies, with two more books due for release in the upcoming months. The books have been very successful and become bestsellers.
The rumors of a new reality show starring Lauren Conrad have just begun and supposedly networks are fighting for the rights. Laguna Beach and The Hills were both popular and successful shows while Lauren Conrad was a part of their casts and interest in her life remains high, so it makes sense that networks would be very interested.
Lauren Conrad has been quoted in US magazine that any new television series would be incredibly different than her previous shows, and the cameras would have to stop rolling when she wanted them to stop. Given the success she has achieved on television, her fashion line, and books, if Lauren Conrad does debut a new television series there is a very good chance it would be successful too.
