It's Lauren!

The 18-year-old contemporary dancer beat out Kent Boyd and Robert Roldan to become the Season 7 Winner of 'So You Think You Can Dance.' The recent high school graduate from Arizona is "America's Favorite Dancer" and has the $250,000 prize to prove it.

I believed Kent would be the winner, although all three final contestants were phenomenal dancers who worked hard all season to get to that place. Robert seemed resigned to the fact that he wasn't going to win, although now he can't buy his mother whatever she wants with the prize money as he'd planned. Seriously, I don't think mom needs a materialistic gift, surely his success as a dancer thus far is enough.

The final 'So You Think You Can Dance' episode for the 7th season lasted two hours, more than enough time to announce the winner, which took two seconds. The rest of the show was filled with various routines, such as

Ellen DeGeneres dancing a hip-hop duet with All-Star tWitch and a seven- year-old, Luke Spring performing a tap dance. I had hoped to see Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe dance, but naaah, it didn't happen.

Host Cat Deeley said Lythgoe was the man with the hair, as a slideshow of him sporting various hairstyles throughout the seasons were shown. Mia Michaels was the judge who was never at a loss for words, especially when she made up her own, such as "murderlicious" to describe a routine. Adam Shankman was the man of faces, who was known for arching one eyebrow at times.

Congratulations to Lauren Froderman, and best of luck to all the contestants in the future, which is sure to be bright. After all, they had to be good to even start the season.
