I remember us
toes in sand
wood below
watching the lights come up
inside jokes
every penny spent
hoarding bits of glitter
all the worthless arguments
matching outfits
music so loud you couldn't breathe
photographs
smiling memories
secrets lost in years gone by
you may forget
but I remember
you were the friend I'll miss the most.
