Lavender Sachet: Make Your Own

Penny Lane
Lavender is a balancing herb, refreshing and relaxing, uplifts and relieves stress...it balances body & mind. You can make your own aromatic lavender sachet with any small piece of fabric. The lavender sachets I sell in my boutique are made with a 4x6 inch piece of unbleached muslin with a lavender motif embroidered on the front. You can make a similar type of sachet for your own personal use by simply sewing up three sides of a small square of fabric; fill the pouch with aromatic lavender buds, and stitch to close. I recommend machine stitching but you can hand-stitch each sachet, if you like.

You can grow your own lavender and retrieve the lavender flower buds, purchase the lavender flower buds locally from a farmer's market or you can purchase them online. I recommend purchasing lavender flower buds from Mountain Rose Herbs. They are certified organic and very aromatic.

The amount of lavender flower buds you need to fill each sachet will depend on the size you make. Generally, you only need about a half cup of the lavender buds to fill each sachet.

You can make your own lavender sachet to use in your car, home, or office to help balance body & mind. When the scent dissipates, just give the sachet a little squeeze to crush the buds and release the natural oil inside.

Blessings to all.
