they don't see much,
just an aging woman
who has been marked by sickness.
But He lavishes His love on me,
freely,
and meets my every need.
And I am content
with my lot in life
and humble standing
in the community.
I am satisfied
with Him and whatever
He deems appropriate
to give me.
He's my provider
and door opener,
and someday He
"will open a door
that no man can close."
He can be trusted
with what future
on this earth
that I have left,
and beyond.
All because
He lavishes His love on me.
A little note to my fans and readers. I have good news. After literally saving my pennies for two years, I was able to buy a new mini-notebook computer this Black Friday at a really low price. And by this time tomorrow night, I will be wired for high-speed internet. These blessings will make my job on AC a whole lot easier, and I'll be able to work much faster. Thus I'll be able to respond to comments and messages in a much more timely way.
So sorry that I'm late on responding this week. I have been ministering to some new people that contacted me lately. But I do not intend to neglect anyone, I'll be able to work in earnest at the latter part of this week. All I can say about the faster computer is: "Praise God From Who all Blessings Flow." Life is good when you do things His way, like saving for the things you want. It sure does beat credit card debt!

Lovely poem and congratulations to you!
Shirley, your posts have been such a blessing to us at AC, and I'm sure you are a great blessing to the people in your "real" life, too! Enjoy your new computer, you deserve it!
Shirley, If only the world had more like you, truly appreciating His blessings, but not demanding more & more. For many others, the more they have, the more they want. It is the little things that gives us the real joy and the willingness to share what little we have. Only those who undergo the suffering will realize what others go through and lend a helping hand. Cannot wait to read your inputs that should flow much more freely with your prized acquisition! Cheers, my friend & best of luck - siva
Shirley, YAYAY! So good to hear your good news. God is such a good provider -- He from whom ALL blessings flow. Sounds like He has made you a good steward of those blessings.
Nicely done, Shirley. Yes, "Praise Him from whom all blessings flow..." cheers :)
