Law Enforcement Now Involved in Mel Gibson, Oksana Grigorieva Court Battle - Robyn Gibson Speaks

Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva are being investigated by law enforcement, according to TMZ.com. The battling lovebirds with one love child ended up in front of a judge today after accusations and audio tapes began to be aired about the relationship begun behind the back of Mel's wife of 28 years, Robyn Gibson.

Oksana Grigorieva Says...

According to Mel's mistress Oksana Grigorieva, the baby mama of his young daughter Lucia, Mel Gibson has been verbally and physically abusive to her. Grigorieva has never pressed charges or made such accusations against the Braveheart actor previously and even refused to discuss the reason they amicably parted ways earlier this year as a couple.

But Oksana is now talking, or I should say she is letting some audio tapes of Mel do the talking for her. Professing she didn't release the tapes--but acknowledging she did make them--the young woman who broke up Mel's 28 year marriage to wife Robyn wants revenge.

According to Oksana, Mel doesn't deserve custody or visitation rights to their daughter, per a TMZ article, and he hasn't paid her child support as he was supposed to do either.

Mel Gibson Responds....

Speaking through his attorney, Mel Gibson presents another side to the story being played out in the press. According to Mel's attorney, Oksana has been playing doctor...with the audio tapes.

Mel's attorney says that the tapes have basically been spliced and diced to produce the end result making the airwaves. The star and producer insists Oksana is the person behind the release of the five audio tapes--and for obvious legal advantages, a fact she continues to deny. Mel's lawyer plans to produce evidence that the tapes are not authentic when they meet with law enforcement in the near future, according to TMZ.

Robyn Gibson Weighs In

Normally an ex spouse wouldn't call a former spouse as a character reference for any legal issue, especially if said spouse had been cheated upon with a younger woman. But Mel Gibson and Robyn Gibson have defied Hollywood logic through their entire separation and divorce activity and now is no exception.

Robyn Gibson has publicly weighed in on the character of her former husband Mel Gibson in regards to his treatment of her physically--as well as their children--during the course of 28 years of marriage. Robyn says, Mel was a wonderful husband and father in that regard. She insists he never raised a hand to her like Oksana is now claiming and never endangered their numerous children either.

"Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage," Robyn declares.

Law Enforcement and the Mel Gibson Battle

The L.A. County Sheriff's office has no bone in this dog fight, so to speak. They will be purveyors of justice regardless of sex, fame or fortune. Their own obligation is to see that justice is done after the facts of the case have been investigated.

As he waited to go into the Mel Gibson vs. Oksana Grigorieva court hearing today, July 15th, Detective Dan Scott of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department Special Victims Bureau told a TMZ producer that he is there for one purpose: investigation of alleged child abuse. But that is but one aspect of this case.

Currently, the Sheriff's office has jurisdictional control of the five audio tapes as well (some rumor it is more than that now). Those detectives will be tasked with obtaining forensic verification of the authenticity of each tape, and they will know without a shadow of a doubt if those tapes were spliced and diced to create a Mel that didn't exist, or not.

Additionally, some of the sheriff's office detectives will investigate both Mel and Oksana for potential motives in this legal custody battle, as well as the alleged abuse that supposedly took place, which will include interviewing and investigating Oksana's dentist, who claims he has known her for 12 years.

Money, Money, Money...

Robyn Gibson and Mel were married for 28 years and there was never a hint of the kind of scandal Mel Gibson currently finds himself embroiled in with his short-term mistress Oksana Grigorieva. Granted Mel had his rant with a police officer and a DUI problem in his past, but the allegation of abuse of late seems to benefit Oksana more than it has hurt her.

Oksana's dentist said her veneers were the only thing damaged when she came to his office--her permanent teeth were not. And TMZ reported that he told the press that Oksana had been telling him for years she wanted to get married and have a baby.

Did Oksana set out to entrap Mel Gibson and lure him from Robyn, planning to set him up for the showdown going on now? or is she just a mistress who chose the wrong man to dump?

Mel Gibson lost it all when he chose Oksana over his loyal wife Robyn and that could set any man off, especially if they felt their mistress was calling it quits, now, too, after they were broke.

Law Enforcement Will Decide

Whatever the ultimate outcome is in this case, law enforcement is involved now, so the truth will come out. And if those audio tapes prove to be a tampered version, it will be Ricky (Mel) telling Lucy (Oksana) she has some, 'splainin' to do' this time, and the law will back him up.

Oksana will be discredited about any abuse she claims to have suffered at Mel's hands as well, if those tapes prove inadmissible in a court of law. It will also make the child endangerment case look like a set up, with Oksana Grigorieva being the one who might lose a custody battle--not Mel. But only time will tell who is lying and who is telling the truth.
