Layoff Fever Madness

Career Time Flush

Heather Dekin
Pink slip in hand
Trembling with nervous fear
Wondering what the future holds
When the sun leaves for greener pastures
Limited amount of choices available
Either pack up everything like a sardine

Dreading when rock bottom finally arrives
Poverty rearing its ugly head like a teenage zit
Looks of salty teared sadness and widespread panic
Time to dust the resume out of storage
Dress up pretty and make the interview circuit
Sell, sell, sell yourself
Praying when good luck will return
Sooner rather than later
Not willing to visit the unemployment line just yet
