This fall, leaves are going to cover yards in Royal Oak. The city will begin collecting those leaves on Nov. 1. Collection will last about six weeks, with everyone's area being covered at least twice.
When your street is scheduled for collection, make sure you do not leave your car in the street. Leaves should be raked to the edge of the road, but not more than 3 feet high and 4 feet wide. Also, try to keep any sticks, rocks, garbage or other debris out of the leaf piles.
For more information, call the Royal Oak Department of Public Services at (248) 246-3300 and select option five.
