Their celebration will also have a meeting of the minds, members of the community running for not only city council, but also for some school councils in cities surrounding Kerrville. The celebration will kick off at 2 p.m. at a new location in Kerrville. It will be calling "The Sweet Stop" located at 1201 Broadway home for their special celebration. The communities of the Hill Country are invited to stop buy and here what the members of their communities have to say and why they are running.
In the 1920s the League of Women Voters formed. It is a nonpartisan group that supports and helps to change policy and more for everyone. It isn't just about women; it is about making a difference in everyone's lives. They asked for everyone to get involved, not just women. The more people involved, the better our communities can and will be.
In 1984, the League of Women Voters found a home in Kerrville, Texas, continuing to spread the word through out Texas and helping to make changes in the community in which it was welcomed.

Post a CommentHi Joyce!
Yes it is. I have to admit it has taken some time to get used to. We have always lived in big cities and have never experienced this kind of community support.
I honestly wish, we could see more of this even in the big cities. Alas, who knows.
Happy Writing!
Thanks for sharing, Carrie. It's great to live in a community that's actively involved.
