Leaked Miley Cyrus Photo Shocking?

Chris Houston
A leaked Miley Cyrus photo shocking the music world? The non-nude photo, which can be viewed here on PopCrunch, is causing at least some controversy this week. Is this Miley Cyrus(not nude) leaked photo an issue or something that should just blow over?

Let's talk about the supposed leaked photo first. Miley Cyrus nude? Not hardly. She's wearing lingerie. So is the issue whether Miley should pose in lingerie or is the issue whether her pose is a little too revealing? This is the same girl who wears nearly lingerie type outfits during concerts, remember? So fans shouldn't be shocked that Miley is willing to pose for such shots. I don't find the pic over revealing or too sexy-so I don't know why there has to be a controversy even if the photos are "leaked".

I find it hard to believe that a photo this well done could have been leaked or wasn't eventually going to be published. Much like her peers, Miley is exploring other directions as she heads into the fantastic world of being an adult. Unfortunately, there are going to be many who think this leaked photo, even though she isn't nude, will be too provocative for her age.

This isn't the first time pictures and photos of Miley have "leaked" causing a photo scandal. If you remember, or in case you didn't catch the last few, here are some of the Miley Cyrus photo scandals of the past here, here and even fake photo scandals like here. It seems as if our young Hollywood entertainers are always subject to the rumor mill and when reported "leaked" photos emerge it trends quickly and rises to the top of search engine searches. Unfortunately for girls like Miley, it always seems way overblown. Fortunately for Miley, her name is so popular that people still care enough to check those out and further fuel her rising career. Whether it's good, bad or intentional-Miley stands to gain by keeping her name in the gossip tabloids.

Perhaps this is why some of the younger female stars finally choose to pose nude so the photo scandals just come to a halt. There seems to be so much pressure on our young female entertainers to disrobe that it's completely unfair at times. Some young celebs certainly use that to their advantage to garner publicity-perhaps this is the case for someone transitioning into a more adult career in the near future.
Perhaps this is why we see "leaked" sex videos popping up too often.

Perhaps Miley just wanted to pose for something other than in the "Disney" realm where her career started and how she is often labeled. Her image obviously needs to change so she can evolve into an adult career--or there seems to always be the possibility that her career could end as she moves into her adult years.
We've seen young actors and actresses struggle trying to make the transition.

I find it unfortunate that women often seem to face the choice of becoming a modern day sex symbol or perhaps giving up their career. Whether this most recent Miley Cyrus "leaked" photo scandal is intentional or not-who knows? We are in the day and age where photos and pics are often doctored a bit. There also are reports the "leaked" photo or pic could be from the set of her most recent music video.

Whether it's real, fake, posed or snapped without her knowledge--the bottom line is there is much to do about nothing here. It's tame compared to things we normally see from our young adult actresses who often end up baring it all. When it comes down to it, it's just a human body anyway-and it should be cherished and not something we should be so scared of witnessing. The entire "leaked celebrity photos" issue seems to be prevalent right now just to get a name back in the spotlight. While this might not be the case, it certainly won't hurt. My biggest issue is that such photos and pics, nude or not, wouldn't be such a big issue if the general public and tabloids opted not to make such an issue over it. In short, it's only an issue if we deem it that way. So why not just take a look or turn away and then move on? Miley Cyrus isn't making or breaking a career with this photo regardless of how any groups believe this violated her so-called "Disney" image. So why the fuss?

There's a thin line between "exploring other directions" as she becomes an adult and turning into a #$%$ If she isn't careful, we'll be seeing headlines about her that would make the ones about Lindsey Lohan look tame.
