LeAnn Rimes in Counseling with Eddie's Ex for Sake of the Children (Audio Link)

LeAnn Rimes spoke with US 99.5 Chicago's country music station on January 12 and not only shared what she got for Christmas (in addition to the ring!), but discussed the fact that she's in counseling with Brandi Glanville, Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife.

Rimes explained that the counseling is for the sake of Eddie and Brandi's children, Mason and Jake.

Rimes also said, "Me being a step mom, now it's even more of my responsibility."

Rimes has been caught up in tabloid headlines since her affair with Eddie Cibrian began in 2009. Rimes is now engaged to Cibrian.

Rimes left husband, Dean Sheremet of seven years, and Cibrian left Glanville after nine years of marriage, so they could be together.

One tragic result is that obviously Eddie and Brandi's two small boys most likely need help dealing with all the changes in their lives, and some credit goes to Rimes for trying to do the right thing. However, perhaps the bigger woman in all of this is Brandi Glanville who is more than likely doing this for her children's benefit.
