Robin Roberts will speak with LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian on ABC's 'In The Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Bright Lights. Big Stars. All Access Nashville' tonight at 10:00 pm, ET. Additionally, Roberts will speak with Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert.

In tonight's special, Roberts talks with Rimes about her affair with actor Eddie Cibrian whom she met on the set of 'Northern Lights', a Lifetime movie, in 2008. Rimes and Cibrian began an affair which resulted in the breakup of both their marriages.

While Rimes had been married to Dean Sheremet, Cibrian was busy raising two children with Brandi Glanville, a model. (Glanville recently made headlines when she was arrested for DUI in Beverly Hills October 29.

Cibrian and Glanville, who have two young sons together, separated in July, 2009 after news of the affair broke. Then, on August 24, 2009, Cibrian filed for divorce from Glanville which was finalized on September 30, 2010.

In the interview with Robin Roberts, Rimes attempts to explain why she had an affair, but states that it's "complicated" and warns people not to rush to judgment.

"What happened is not who I am, period," the 28-year-old singer tells Roberts. "But I do know how much I love him. So I've always said I don't live my life with regret. I can't."

Additionally Rimes told Roberts, "It happens every day to so many people. And if I take away my album sales, my words ... you have just another couple. You had two couples whose marriages didn't work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love. I can't change [critics'] minds. Nothing I'm going to say is going to change it. I do know that and I have accepted that."

Cibrian also speaks out sounding defensive about his affair with Rimes, "The truth is that we're human beings. We make mistakes and we learn from them, but we're human. We fell in love."

"We're talking about something that's over a year, year and-a-half old, really, and we're still together, and we're madly in love," Cibrian states. "And I think people are finally seeing that, but it doesn't mean that people will accept it or the tabloids will stop trying to print lies and try to tear us apart or tear us down."
