Leap of Faith

Terri Deno
So cold

So scared

I tremble in the dark

Hiding in the corner, I am broken

My spirit has left, my soul has died

I'm reminded of another time.

When you were here

You stood up, with nothing left to lose.

You took that leap of faith

And made it out of that dark hole

If you were here

You could be my inspiration

To take that same step

But there's no one around

There's no guiding light

How will I pull myself up?

How can I take a leap of faith

To renew my spirit, untangle my soul

From this fiery hell

"Help me, Lord" is all I can mutter

While I close my eyes

And pray to the stars for my guiding light

I jump blindly

Will I be forsaken?
