When I was a kid I had the Alphabet fridge set and I remember losing all of the pieces over time. It seemed as if my parents were buying a new set every time we were at the store. I bought a set of Fridge Alphabets for my daughter and about a week later, I was finding all the letters all over the place.

I was glad that I was able to find the Leap Frog Word hammer Fridge Phonics Set because my daughter loves the Fridge Alphabet but I wasn't trying to buy a new set every other week either. So I paid $25 for the Leap Frog Fridge set and called it a day.

Description

The Leap Frog Word hammer Fridge Phonics Set is a learning toy made to attach to your refrigerator door. It teaches up to 325 three-letter words and is extremely educational. If you have any experience with the Leap Frog words Video Factory then you won't have any problems getting comfortable with this Leap Frog Fridge Phonics Set.

The Leap Frog Word hammer Fridge Phonics Set is pretty much a preschool in a box. It teaches children how to blend letters to make words as well as letter sounding. It takes AAA batteries for light reinforcement of word learning.

Pros

The main things I liked about the Leap Frog Word hammer Fridge Phonics Set is that it was very durable for the price. I happened to drop it a couple of times I took it out the box and it worked perfectly fine afterwards.

Another thing I like about the Leap Frog Word hammer Fridge Phonics Set is that it's another interactive toy. So my child has to do something for something to happen. I believe that this is the only way for children to actually learn, so this was a plus for me as well as my child.

Thirdly I think that the Leap Frog Word hammer Fridge Phonics Set is that out side of the fact that it's a Fridge Alphabet set, it's not boring like the original ones. It's engaging and it keeps my child interested. She wants to learn new words and every day there is a new word on the refrigerator.

Cons

The jet has a speaker problem and that kinds of irritates me because my child depends on the sound. It doesn't get loud enough and so my child basically plays with the letters with NO sound.

Another thing I don't like about the Leap Frog Word hammer Fridge Phonics Set is that it is kind of heavy. I'm not sure what that is all about but considering the fact that it goes on the refrigerator, I wouldn't expect for it to be heavy in weight.

Conclusion

The Leap Frog Word hammer Fridge Phonics Set is a awesome way to teach you child the meaning of letters and sounds. It definitely is different than the regular refrigerator letters and I think it's a lot more interesting as well.
