Leapfrog Company Review

Viki Farias
Every parent keeps hearing about Leapfrog and the Leap Frog Company keeps putting newer things out on the market. So, are the Leapfrog toys worth the money that you pay? I did some digging and found the answer for you. They say it is indeed worth every cent that you put into the toys. They understand that learning happens at an early age. They believe in enriching the development of your children beginning at birth but primarily at the reading ages as well. They are like sponges at that age.

The toys are designed to hit all the aspects of growing children and their latest have been the point and read toys. While this may seem a little stupid because the toy does the reading for your toddler, professionals actually say that it is not bad for them. The more they use the toy and follow along with the pointer, the more words they start to recognize because at this age their memory is impeccable.

Others have their opinions about this toy as well. The main argument on this type of toy is that the parents are trying to find a way out of spending time with their child. To some extent this might be true. This does make it a bit easier for parents to do other things while allowing a toy to help them with the one skill they will need in life, but they are young and a few hours a day if that won't hurt very many kids. I assure you. What I have found is that parents are actually joining their kids as they work through these books and kids are proud enough to say I know that word.

These things are getting such high ratings by those individual professionals that monitor a child's success that teachers are using these in the classrooms to help the more troublesome kids. The read with me gives children a sort of independence when they feel so overwhelmed by adults one person explained to me in a round about way. They give them the tutoring skills, something to keep their attention with, and a sort of independence that every child needs to have at some point throughout the day or the week. So, how do we rate this line of toys? We think they are one step ahead of us in this realm of things as far as kids go.

Excellent review. I wanted to purchase one for my daughter but I never got around to and now she is too old for one. Happy Valentine's Day!
