It has some neat features for a 3 year old but Its not something extra spectacular either. I think it's a great product for on the road trips but considering my child has tons of other toys to keep him occupied, this one is a bit boring.
What I like about the LeapFrog Scribble and Write
The main thing that I like about the LeapFrog Scribble and Write is the fact that it's small and easy to carry around for my 3 year old. I mean this isn't the main thing I like but it's a great aspect in my eyes.
Another thing I like about the LeapFrog Scribble and Write is that it is currently teaching my son how to write. It has a stylus pad that allows my child to virtually write, as well as a retractable service.
The LeapFrog Scribble and Write shows kids how to write by giving them letters and shapes to trace on the stylus pad. It's really easy to any child to grasp and my son is currently getting the hang of it as we speak.
All around the LeapFrog Scribble and Write is an educational toy. It not only teaches my son how to write but it teaches him his alphabet, as well as pencil control and phonic skills. I appreciate that it not only teaches my son how to write but it teaches him the difference between lowercase and uppercase letters.
And just like all the other Leapfrog electronics I've bought, I can also hook up to the Leapfrog path directory to add more Leapfrog programs to the Scribble and write pad. I was glad to know that because my son was becoming bored with the learning system and I wasn't willing to waste $20 by letting it sit there.
My conclusion?
Bottom line is this is a great piece of electronic if you happen to be a parent looking to give your child a head start in life. I wanted my son to learn how to correctly control a pencil and the LeapFrog Scribble and Write made that happen. I think that all children should have one of these. They are cheap and fun for just about every child.
