I really can't understand women who choose to waste their time shopping, or worse yet, who call shopping a past time! Who wants to waste time looking at things to buy? Wouldn't you rather just go and buy what you need? But, of course, you can't just do this without shopping, right? Wrong! You must learn how to be a Speed Shopper. A Speed Shopper is a well-informed, swift, concise consumer who purchases at will and has plenty of time to relax with a nice glass of red wine, while wasting no time hiking up and down shopping malls.

The trick to Speed Shopping is learning the worth of most all things. The word "sale" doesn't really affect a Speed Shopper because she shops only when she is in need. She already knows how much to pay for something and she already knows where to get the most quality with the least amount of money. A sale is certainly helpful to the Speed Shopper if it occurs at one of her favorite stores during a time of need. Speed Shopping is efficient and fun. Example: You need to buy a dress for a Christmas party. First, you must learn to visualize how you want to look and what you want the dress to look like ahead of time. If you have a better idea of what you are looking for before you step out of the house, you'll be more effective in your search.

Next, you must think about how much you HAVE to spend and how much a dress like this will cost. Give yourself a range and use that as your guide. Next, think about the stores that will most likely have the dress resembling your idea with matching price range. A good speed shopper already knows the top three stores to shop for formal dresses. Go to the first store. It only takes a good Speed Shopper about 5 minutes to know whether or not the store will satisfy her needs. She stands at the entrance of the store and visually scans the racks like a prairie dog. If the store is a dud, she exits rapidly and gets to the next store. She should complete her mission in less than 2 hours. If she does not, she raises her price range and finds her dress rather quickly. She is then able to tell husband, "Honey I tried".
