Learn to Draw for Yourself

Harold Dean Sink
Anyone can learn to draw.
None of the great artists
You know so well,
Owned their talent before they learned.
Not even Picasso started without some teaching.
Everyone can eventually learn.

"Can't" cannot do anything.
Attitude against it won't help.
Nobody can make you but yourself.

Learn to draw from a book or mentor.
Earnestly seek out how to draw,
And learn to have patience with yourself.
Relax and breath, the rest will eventually come.
Negligence to draw is your own fault.

Take your time and learn it well.
Otherwise you may never learn how to draw.

Diligence, in making drawing a habit will bring about perfection.
Read all that you can to become better at it.
Ask for critiques and accept them light-heartedly.
With time you will become a great artist.

Well done. I used to draw pretty well. Now I can't draw a thing. My son was an amazing artist but he chose not to pursue it which always made me sad. My mother-in-law was phenomenal but she didn't see it.
