Learn the History of a Piece of Land in Royal Oak

Like many Royal Oak residents, you may have enjoyed visiting Tenhave Woods, the nature park that is located in Royal Oak neighborhoods, but have never known exactly how it came to be a nature park. On Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at 7:30 PM, you can learn all about how Tenhave Woods came from what was in 1823 Cromwell Goodwin's wood lot.

The event will be held at the Royal Oak Middle School, 709 N. Washington. The school is located between 11 Mile Road and Catalpa. Bob Muller, a naturalist with the Royal Oak Nature Society, will tell all about this property, beginning with when the land was first purchased from the United States to the present.
