Chris Wellmen
Learning Spanish can be a difficult process. Being able to take your Spanish lessons with you on your iPod is a great advantage. Free resources are available throughout the iTunes Music Store. The following podcasts are great ways to help teach you Spanish.

Learn Spanish with Coffee Break Spanish

Produced by the Radio Lingua Network, Learn Spanish with Coffee Break Spanish is a great resource for beginners. Aiming to "bring you language-learning with your latte," this podcast is recorded at a nice pace. Each podcast is centered on a certain topic, helping you to focus. Each podcast is around 20 minutes long, making it a perfect accompaniment on your drive to work.

Learn Spanish - Survival Guide

Dave Spencer provides a good podcast for Spanish students. The podcast is made to help teach everyday language, such as asking for help, visiting the bank, shopping, and eating at a restaurant. David Spencer provides good pronunciations and gives you time to repeat the phrases being taught. Learn Spanish - Survival Guide taught a good pace, while giving you time to breathe in-between words. Spencer speaks slowly and breaks down longer phrases to help you understand.

Learn to Speak Spanish

DiscoverSpanish.com produces Learn to Speak Spanish. The podcast teaches Spanish well and also provides resources on its website, DiscoverSpanish.com. Learn to Speak Spanish is for beginners or students that want a refresher. The podcast is centered around its simplicity and easiness. Each podcast is around 10 mintues in length.

Spanish Podcasts for Beginners

Spanish Podcasts for Beginners is produced by Spanish-BookWorld.com. Each podcast comes with explanations written in English. The site (Spanish-BookWorld.com) also provides a free transcript. The podcast, much like the other ones mentioned above are extremely easy to listen to and learn from. However, the podcasts are extremely long and could be a drawback to beginning Spanish students. One of the podcasts is a length 44, close to 45, minutes long! For basics, a shorter podcast may be better, allowing you to remember more information, although this is mainly a matter of personal preference.

These podcasts are all free and can be downloaded in the iTunes Music Store. They can then be uploaded to your iPod, or perhaps your MP3 player. To find these podcasts, just search the name in the store. You could also find this by clicking on the link that takes you to the education category of the podcasts. Enjoy your Spanish lessons! Hope you disfrutar! (Disfrutar is the Spanish equivalent of enjoy.)
