So you sweat a lot and you want to figure out how to stop it. Well, it's important to note that you'll never be able to fully stop sweating, and you wouldn't want to. Sweating is important for thermoregulation, which relates to endurance and how active you can be. The less you sweat, the less you'll be able to move around and run, which can be a detriment to your health. It also increases your chances of overheating. That said, excessive sweating can lead to social anxiety and a slew of other embarrassing problems, so you'll want to treat it. But before doing that, I suggest you read up on why you really sweat below.
The main purpose of sweat in humans is to regulate body temperature; that is, people sweat when they're hot. This is common sense, but a lot of people don't realize it. There are a few other purposes that I will also be detailing below:
As mentioned earlier, the main purpose of sweat is to reduce the body temperature. When water evaporates, it pulls heat energy out of the skin to change phase into a gas, thereby lowering the body temperature. Blowing air on something wet can speed up this effect, which is why sweat evaporates more quickly when in front of a fan and also why it's much colder when exposed to a breeze.
It also might be odd to learn that many animals do not sweat as much as humans do. This is because humans are, for the most part, endurance runners. The increase in sweat glands was an adaptation for distance running and the required thermoregulation. Big cats, for example, need to stop running much sooner than humans do because they overheat.
