Learning that Cows Could Kick Thanks to the Amazing Race 16

Reality Rehash
The Amazing Race premiered last week and headed to Chile. Funny thing is, they never left as the entire second episode saw the ten remaining teams racing around Chile once again. After leaving first Jeff and Jordan were first to learn they'd have to wait until morning to board a bus. Everyone started fresh there but before the ticket booths opened a new alliance was formed consisting of Brandy/Carol and Joe/Heidi. The ladies basically pushed them into an alliance as they feel they are strong and it worked in their favor as Joe/Heidi pushed the two to the front of the line, getting them the only four seats on the first bus. Instead of waiting to take a direct bus that would leave in the morning, Jeff got smart and decided to find a connecting route. That led Jeff/Jordan, Caite/Brent and the Cowboys into the first bus out of there and into the lead. Well until their connection at least.

What Jeff/Jordan and Brent/Caite didn't know is that their connection was at a different terminal. The Cowboys found that out early on but decided not to tell the others as their bus was meeting at the correct spot. While the two stranded teams fled to their new terminal, already late, the Cowboys pulled away leaving Jeff/Jordan/Brent/Caite stuck at the terminal only to leave around 1am and giving the Cowboys a huge lead. Puerto Varas was their ending location and with their lead the Cowboys landed in first place. They basically showed that they aren't as dumb as some people may think and it sure has changed my opinion of them. The rest, however, still had some issues.

Before they even got to the Detour some had issues driving manual car, like the brothers. The one who was supposed to know how to drive stick couldn't get it in gear, I guess removing the emergency break didn't help either. The two struggled throughout the leg as they got lost but luckily came back after learning they were second to last. The two bickered throughout the entire leg and I have a feeling that will be an ongoing thing. At the Detour teams had to choose between dressing a llama or flying off into a lake dressed as a condor. The Llama task was easy if you got a nice llama, but as Joe found out they sure like to kick. The condor task was much easier, all they had to do was dress up and jump into the water. It didn't really save anyone time though.

On their way to the Road Block the Detectives passed the location thinking it wasn't spelled correctly. They ended up back in town and quickly learned, thanks to Jeff and Jordan, how to get back. One of them, I don't remember who, ended up passing the last place team and because of that it saves their butts. The Road Block saw one team member gathering fresh ingredients to create a kuchen, some form of pie in Chile. Nobody really struggled except at milking the cow. Monique was the first to get kicked in the head, which wasn't as bad as previews showed, but Jody got it much worst. Being 71 I thought she would have been more injured but she tried yet again but sadly that kick probably lost the game for her and her grand daughter. Jodi and Shannon were out as the second team. Can't say I'm surprised and I'm not sad either. It was just odd and scary to watch Jodi run the race, she was too nice and Shannon wasn't all that exciting either.
