Learning More Than Just Medicine at a Hospital in Royal Oak

An unlicensed doctor taught communication skills to doctors at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital, showing us once again the importance to researching even our most noted doctors. Apparently, Dr. William Hamman was not a doctor. While he did go to medical school, he never finished. Beaumont hospital is outraged as he taught seminars for their doctors for years.

Seeing that it is important to check out all credentials thoroughly before hiring anyone to a medical, legal or other profession has been a lesson well learned in this situation. So what's next for this doctor? I am sure he has a lot to talk about over the next few months, though many question why Hamman is not talking about the situation.

Check out referrals - call all referrals provided by applicant. At least three.

Check out all schools attended - Researching their educational background is important in the field of medicine.

Verify Degrees - While many of us want to trust that applicants are honest, the majority are not. Don't be afraid or too blind to make a few necessary calls.

Google Applicants - You can learn a lot about some people with a quick search on Google or other search engines.

You should always verify the information before hiring anyone.
