Learning to Run

Ill get up one day but I'm tired so I think ill crawl. Young boy looked up and said to Paul, "ill walk one day you'll see. Even when this worlds turned against me an said id stay in this chair forever. Ill show you, you'll all see!"
Couple months went by you'd think he'd sigh but no tears in those hopeful eyes. He grabbed his bedpost and took a chance to stand but again he fell an scraped up those elbows one more time. That night he looked to the sky an prayed to god saying, "I know I can with you oh lord! No man can curse what the lord blesses! What they say wont bend or brake me. Amen."
Sometimes he thinks back and says trouble came and why did it have to take my legs away? I see many devils with riches. Still I don't understand but I trust in the lord to help me. Gently ill get laid to rest and my knock on heavens door will be so beautiful that no wealth can compare to that. Then he sits back and relaxes for he knows past all the taxes there's only one book calling his name and the lords blessed him with it. Still through all the pain he remains the same. Content in the lord and stays calling his name but with no blame for he knows this is all the beginning an in the end he will walk again.
Sometimes I wish you all could walk in my boy Lenny's shoes! Then your issues wouldn't seem so important, but still you hit the clinic cause you think you got a problem but the only problems in your head. You wake up one day with a medicated smile and your laughing then the next day they find you dead. Shame he gave it all up for a dose of death at its best. But test the lord an soon will all find a one-way ticket to the grave. But a strong heart will carry on forever.
One day Lenny woke up and he felt a little different on this day. He felt god in the room. So he leans up on his bed an with a wishful stride puts his legs on the floor an prays while he's trying to stand up. Closes his eyes an when he opened them he was looking his dad in the face with tears running down his eyes and he knew right then god healed his broken road. His dad in tears hits his knees and thanks the lord for the gift of life to his child's legs. Lenny looks down an says, "dad its kind of funny your looking up for once an I'm staring down.."
