These are the ten least snowiest winters in Chicago history dating back to 1884. The data reveals a definite skewering towards more higher snow levels over the last 50 years in Chicago.

Not one of these 10 least snowiest winters in Chicago history have occurred in the last 50 years. And data from the Snowiest Winters in Chicago history show that all but three of the snowiest winters in the city's history occurred in the last 50 years.

Either Chicago is due for some light snow winters or something has changed in the last 50 years to increase snowfall in the Chicago area that will remain.
