Leaving a Party: Wedding Etiquette for a Refined Exit

With all the fun games, dancing, good food, and endless chitchats you suddenly feel like going home but you seem to be one of the earliest person to walk out that door. How do you deal with it in a manner it won't look rude for the host? Here are simple wedding etiquettes to make a graceful exit.

1. Say good bye to the Host appropriately. Never forget to ask permission when you feel like leaving. Whatever you do, let your party host know, otherwise it will look impolite. If it's a small party like a dinner party, let her know quietly. If it's a huge party, and you can't hunt her down for good byes, email or text your hosts a thank you note for letting them invite you, the following day. This is an important wedding etiquette you must always remember when attending a wedding day.

2. Utter words like "I enjoyed your party" or "I'm having a wonderful time". Make them feel that you have no intention of going early and you are really having a great time.

3. Say "See you later!" quietly. The best wedding etiquette is to make your exit swift and peaceful. Have your hugs away from all the other guests.

4. Stay close to the exit. Try to make your way to the exit only ten to five minutes before leaving the party. Don't spend the party thinking how you have to leave early. Enjoy yourself.

5. Say "Bye for now." Don't forget to show off a big smile. The last moments of a party should be pleasant and joyous ones. Don't make excuses on why you have to leave nor make any scene just to excuse yourself from the big day. Don't exaggerate that much for they might be worried as well if you give many reasons. Besides, stepping out with a smile after you hug your host good bye is all that matters.

For some matters, it is really unavoidable in a wedding day that someone opted to go home early and does not want to wait for the entire party to end. To show some respect, you can think of much better wedding etiquette when leaving a party. One way or another, the host will understand though if you want to leave. Just be compassionate to let them know so that they will feel that somehow you have enjoyed their wedding day.
