Lebron James Free Agency Status

Where Will King James Play Next Year?

NBA free agency has created a stir with teams around the country the key figure everyone is waiting word on is Lebron James. Lebron James is going to announce what team he'll sign with on July 8, 2010 at 9 pm on ESPN. The show is called "The Decision" and all proceeds will be given to the Boys and Girls Club of America.

Dwyane Wade has stated that he'll resign with the Miami Heat and joining him so far will be Chris Bosh who was formerly with the Toronto Raptors. Speculation is that Lebron James will be signing with Miami Heat as well, but I personally feel Lebron will not take the second seat on a team where Wade is clearly the leader. Another key free-agent was Amare Stoudemire who has stated that he'll sign with the New York Knicks to team with his old coach from Phoenix in Mike D'Antoni.

Personally, Lebron James needs to resign with the Cleveland Cavaliers the team and city that has embraced Lebron since coming out of high school. Also, if Lebron resigns with another team he's leaving around $30 million dollars on the table. So what's important to Lebron James? A city that has embraced Lebron and coined the phrase "King James" or will the enticement of winning a NBA Championship with Wade and Bosh drive Lebron to move on from Cleveland.

Cleveland Cavaliers has provided Lebron with a nucleus of players to play for a championship, however; Cleveland has faded away during the playoffs after having one of the best records in the NBA during the regular season.

Can Lebron take second seat to Dwyane Wade? Doubt it, because Lebron thrives on the recognition of being called "King James" and he's going to get his 20 plus shots a game. Dwyane Wade may be willing to allow Lebron to be the number one go to player if it means a championship. But there are only so many minutes in a game and the ball distribution will be hard to make three All-Stars (Wade, James and Bosh) happy.
